I grew up in South Korea as part of a family that was heavily steeped in the traditions and practices of acupuncture. Even as a child, I saw acupuncture, Asian herbal medicines, and other holistic methods used for medical treatment. There weren’t many side effects, but I did notice many added benefits. Simply put, they worked.

This inspired me to learn more. I studied hard and, in 2003, I graduated from South Baylo University in Anaheim with a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I became licensed in acupuncture and studied acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine at Chang Chun University in China. I also earned a Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine from American Liberty University.

Finally, I was ready, and I’ve been practicing holistic medicine ever since. You know why? Because I’m a firm believer that, after thousands of years of trial and error, Asian treatment methods, such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, and cupping and moxibustion, truly do work. Definitively. They’re not about ingesting chemicals, they’re about restoring balance to the body, mind, and spirit. At the Newport Acupuncture Center, we’ve developed a place of tranquility where true healing can take place.

When you meet with us, we’ll listen to you and craft a customized treatment package for you. Since we do that for all of our clients, the expectation is that everyone has a unique need and experience. That’s why there’s no snobbery, just community, and at its core, it’s about being a healing movement. Every service we offer has to do with healing, by its very nature. Wherever you are in life, we can help you to feel better physically, psychologically, and spiritually.
